    I nearly quit. Then my daughter brought me advanced textile textbooks. They were dense, and progress stalled until an accident—an oxygen tank struck my leg during rescue-team training—left me in hospital for a month. That quiet time let me decode the books’ chemistry.

    My son ran bench-tests: the new formula worked, handling cotton, wool, and linen with no shrinkage or residue. Confidence restored, we launched Taiwan’s first courses in water-based, solvent-free dry cleaning, and we keep inventing greener detergents today.
